Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources Downstream, Hon. Ikenga Ugochinyere, has congratulated the Chairman Committee on Appropriations, Hon. Abubakar Kabir Bichi, for bagging an honorary doctorate degree from the Federal University, Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA).
FUDMA at the weekend awarded an honorary Doctor of Engineering degree (honoris causa) to Hon. Abubakar Kabir Abubakar, a member of the House of Representatives for the Bichi federal constituency, in recognition of his extensive contributions to educational advancement in Nigeria.
Ugochinyere, in a statement made available to parliamentary correspondents in Abuja, said the award is well deserved as Bichi as appropriation chairman has been a uniting figure in the 10th House of Representatives.
He noted that Bichi as a philanthropist has helped many, providing funding for critical projects and supporting his constituents and Nigerians as a whole in their various endeavours such as education and so on.
According to him, Bichi’s competence, team spirit, and all-inclusive leadership capacity made the passage of the 2024 Appropriation Bill seamless, just as he expressed optimism that the tempo will be maintained.
Ugochinyere said: “Congratulations to my friend, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Bichi, for bagging an honorary doctorate degree from the Federal University, Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA). I am absolutely thrilled to hear the fantastic news.
