Ufuoma Mcdermott’s What Just Happened hits Cinemas

Actress and filmmaker, Ufuoma Mcdermott was full of joy on Friday as her new movie,’What Just Happened’ hit the cinemas in style as many movie lovers trooped out to see the movie.

After a successful cinema run with her last movie ‘Christmas is Coming’, McDermott thrilled the audience to a fantastic comedy movie as it paraded arrays of actors and comedians.

With the producer playing the lead role, it features actors such as Afeez Oyetoro, Segun Arinze, Toyin Abraham, Mc Abbey, Funny bone, Mike Ezuruonye.

The movie tells the story of a disgruntled professor who goes in search of a man. She takes up her brother’s offer for the position of a visiting lecturer at the University of Ibadan. So, what should have been a one-hour journey from Lagos to Ibadan ends up being a disaster.

The entire movie is a testimony, which is being recounted in church.

Ufuoma whose journey into Nol­lywood began in Zeb Ejiro’s 2004 movie, The President Must Not Die had since become one of the bold faces of Nollywood and she has proven herself as not just an extraordinary actress but as a talented producer and director.

Speaking on her new movie, the actress said she felt blessed that her new project was appreciated by fans.”I feel blessed for all the love I get from people and even the media each time I announce a new project. What Just Happened is my new baby and I trust that the support will not be any different this time. Thank you guys for always supporting. I want everyone to come out to see the movie from Friday. I am certain that it will be worth your while,” she said.
