Uche Nwosu arrested not kidnapped ―Imo police command

The Imo State Police Command has declared that the 2019 governorship candidate, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, was arrested and not kidnapped as being speculated in the media.

The Commissioner of Police Imo Command, CP Rabiu Hussaini, in a statement in Owerri Sunday through the Public Relation Officer of the command, CSP Michael Abatham informed the general public that the son-in-law to the former Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State was arrested by the police, adding that Imo State police command is aware of the arrest as he is presently in their custody.  

The CP said the clarification is to refute the earlier news that has been making rounds on social media that he was kidnapped by unknown persons/gunmen.  

Hussaiani while using this medium to assure Imo residents of the command’s commitment to ensure the safety of life and prosperity this Yuletide and advised the general public to shun fake news.
