Two teenagers, Ikponmwosa Isibor, 17, and Emmanuel Abuzu, 16, have reportedly drowned in a hotel swimming pool in Benin.
The youths were said to have paid to use the swimming pool of the unnamed hotel when they drowned at about 4:00p.m last Saturday.
The swimming pool area of the hotel was under lock and keys when reporters visited the hotel located in Okhoro area on Wednesday.
When asked some of the safety measures put in place to avert reoccurrence of the unfortunate incidences, the hotel manager simply said “the police are already handling the matter, you can meet the police to tell you that.”
A source at Okhoro Police Station said some staffs of the hotel have been picked up for interrogation over the matter.
