Two suspects in Bauchi Police net for murder

BAUCHI State Police Command has arrested two suspects, Nasiru Tanimu and Harissu Sama’ila for alleged criminal culpable homicide leading to murder.
The PPRO, DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar stated that On 6/10/18 at about 2030hrs, one Muhammad Lumo of Bununu ward in Tafawa Balewa LGA reported at Bununu Police Division that on the same date at about 2000hrs his nephew, one Ahmad Muhamma of the same address now deceased had a misunderstanding with one Nasiru Tanimu and as a result a fight ensued between them and Nasiru Tanimu collected a knife from one Harissu Samaila and stabbed the said Ahmad Muhammad on the stomach, as a result of which he sustained fatal injuries and was rushed to the Primary Health Care Centre, Bununu and later referred to ATBU Teaching Hospital, Bauchi but died while on admission.
The PPRO while parading the suspects at the Command headquarters said that the two suspects, Nasiru Tanimu and Harissu Samaila have been arrested and are in police custody while the case is under investigations.
Also, On 9/10/2018 at about 2100hrs, the Command received a report that unknown armed men numbering about six invaded in to the residence of one Bala Abdulsalam and Yunusa Abubakar all of Yankari village and robbed them some valuable items thereafter escaped to unknown destinations but on receipt of the report, operatives of the Command swung in to action discreet investigation which led to the arrest of 18 years old Bawa Ahmadu, 16 years old Ashiru Ibrahim, 17 years old Mohammed Adamu and 17 years old Ishiaku Mallam all of Yankari village in Alkaleri LGA Bauchi.
During interrogations, all the suspects voluntarily confessed to the crime while exhibits recovered from them include, Three (3) Cutlasses and One Stick.
The State Police Spokesman said that all cases are under investigations after which the suspects will be charged to court accordingly.
