Two arrested for planting explosives on Ebonyi bridge

Two suspected persons identified as Nweke Kingsley from Ishielu and Uwakwe Chijioke from Ikwo both from Ebonyi state, have been arrested by vigilante groups while planting improvised explosive devices, IEDs, on  Idembia bridge Ezza South Local government Area of Ebonyi state.

Governor David Umahi made this known to newsmen at the Executive council chamber government house Abakaliki on Friday.

According to Governor Umahi who stated that the arrest followed intelligence reports that some members of a political party were planning to bomb Bridges and other installations in the state, said the suspects were arrested by villagers living close to the ugwuogo bridge which links Ezza South to Ohaozara local government area.
