Two arrested for allegedly slitting neighbour’s throat in Kwara

Operatives of the Kwara State Police Command have arrested two persons, Abdullateef Yakubu and Yakubu Olanrewaju, of Shao Garage area, Ilorin, for allegedly slitting the throat of a neighbour over a disagreement.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that the incident happened at about 12:00 am on Monday at Shao Garage area in the Ilorin metropolis. 

It was also learnt that a brother of the victim, AbdulRazaq Babatunde, who was attracted by the shout of a resident, came out during the hour to find his younger brother, Abubakar Babatunde, in the pool of his blood, bleeding from his slit throat.

“He was subsequently rushed to the UITH for medical attention”, a source said.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, who confirmed the incident, said that, “the needful will be done as soon as we conclude our findings”.
