In twelve months’ time

Where will you be in twelve months time? What would have happened to you by the time this year ends? What will be your achievements in twelve months time? We are just at the beginning of the year and most people hardly ever focus on the end of the year. Time flies and before we know it this year would have ended. The question is what be your story at the end of the year . . . in twelve months time.

If you will not be where you are now in twelve months time then, certain things must be done deliberately.

Change does not happen by just coasting along but by engaging in certain actions geared to producing the desired change. It takes thinking to move forward in life. A man who does not take time to think will be a stuck man.

If in twelve months time you will not be in the same position you are now the first thing to do is to a clear picture of where you want to be in twelve months time. You must have an expected end. You must have a picture of the end of the year . . . a picture of where you want to be in twelve months time. It does not make sense to embark on a journey where the destination is neither defined nor predetermined. Twelve months from now you are likely to be in the same position you are now if you do not have a predetermined destination. In actual fact if you do not have a predetermined destined for twelve months time you are likely to be worse off than where you are now. “Things alter for the worse spontaneously, if they be not altered for the better designedly.” Francis Bacon

You must be resolved to work your life out and make a difference in twelve months time.

Where in twelve months time do you want to be in terms of your health, finances, career, and other critical areas of your life? A race will make no sense if there is no finishing line just like a game of football will be meaningless without goalposts. A life without clearly spelt out goals and predetermined destination is a life likely to end up in frustration and regret.

Having gotten a predetermined end in view the next thing is to resolve to have that end to be a reality. There is no point beginning something and not ending it.
