TWITTER users have continued to laud the Health Minister, Professor Isaac Adewole, for his prompt response to the case of an abandoned girl with jaw tumour at the National Hospital, Abuja.
In response to the request by the online users, asking for help for the girl, the health minister, according to them, acted promptly by ordering an eight-hour surgery to remove the pharyngeal mass from the girl.
The operation, it was gathered, was carried out by a combined team of paediatric, maxilofacial and ENT surgeons.
Professor Adewole was also reported via his twitter handle to have paid an unannounced visit to the girl at the National Hospital, Abuja, where he encouraged the team of nurses, anaesthetists and surgeons working on the girl.
In his response on twitter, The Godfather?@Ayourb referred to Professor Adewole as a remarkable man, describing his response as top notch.
Another twitter user,Femi Ayegbusi,wrote: @FemingYeming “Very impressive that the incident didn’t get to@MBuhari before resolution. The competent hand evaluated accurately and acted to nib it in the bud.”
Etin-osa via @etinmagbe wrote: “I’m glad the minister responded and got them to do the right thing,” while Saka Kikelome via @kikelomoabike said “Professor Adewole has displayed high level competencies as the health minister several times, this is not coming as a surprise.”
Some days earlier, a twitter user, Morocco@ibrahimu14, had called the attention of the health minister to the case of an internally displaced elderly woman, Kwazo Malilah, at Madinatu IDP camp, who had a swollen breast and needed an urgent medical attention.
