President-elect Donald Trump is setting a new benchmark in political fundraising, amassing $250 million for his upcoming inauguration.
This total, as confirmed by sources familiar with his campaign to ABC News, surpasses the $107 million raised for his first inauguration and reflects strong financial backing from a range of sectors.
The fundraising efforts encompass not only the official Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee but also other major fundraising vehicles organizing the events scheduled for this weekend. Trump’s second inauguration has attracted significant support from several tech industry giants, with names like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Shou Chew, and Jeff Bezos expected to occupy prime seats during the event.
Key donations from tech leaders include $1 million contributions each from Meta, Apple, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Uber. Notably, this marks Meta’s first donation to a presidential inauguration, while Apple, Amazon, Google, and Microsoft have made similar contributions in the past.
On January 19, 2025, Trump shared the stage with Elon Musk at a rally in Washington, further highlighting the tech industry’s prominent role in the inauguration.
Cryptocurrency companies have also stepped up, with Ripple donating $5 million, Robinhood contributing $2 million, and Coinbase providing $1 million. Ripple’s CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, and Chief Legal Officer, Stuart Alderoty, met with Trump earlier this month and expressed their support on social media.
Veteran corporate donors, including Bank of America and Boeing, have once again lent their support to Trump’s inaugural committee, reinforcing the broad coalition backing his return to the White House.
