Troops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation Hadarin Daji in their intensified clearance operation against the terrorists, have again neutralised two bandits while rescuing 5 kidnap victims including a child in Zamfara.
A close source from the military disclosed on Friday in Gusau that the success was achieved on the 16 and 17 November 2023 during a coordinated clearance operation at terrorist enclaves at Tugan Gama, Tugan Hausawa, Tugan Nabaru, Yarsabiya and Daji Yanayin kari in Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara state.
“During the operation, troops encountered and neutralized 2 armed terrorists while others escaped with gunshot wounds”.
“Troops responded swiftly and timely to distress call on armed bandits’ attack on Yarkoria community in Wuya district of Anka LGA.
“The Troops’ superior fire power forced the terrorists to abandon the kidnapped victims and flee.
” Five(5) victims which include a child, 2 females and 3 males were successfully rescued and we’re reunited with their families”.
They called on locals and the general public to continue giving timely and useful information that would assist the troops in their intensive clearance operation in the State.
