Trinity varsity holds maiden convocation

Trinity University, Yaba, Lagos, will be holding its first-ever convocation ceremonies this week.

The university opened with its first students’ admission for the 2018–2019 academic session and has graduated two sets already.

The acting vice chancellor of the university, Prof. Clement Kolawole, who announced the ceremonies in a statement made available by Mr Michael Bangbola, the university’s spokesman, said the event would last three days, starting on Wednesday with a news conference.

He said that while the convocation lecture on the topic, ”Disruptive Technology: The Ambiguous Friend,” would be delivered on Thursday by Prof. Adenike Osofisan, the first African woman professor of computer science, the main convocation ceremonies with the award of first and honorary degrees to students and deserving individuals, respectively, as well as the presentation of prizes, would take place on Friday.

He said all the graduating students had been thoroughly trained.
