Tribune man wins best crime reporter of the year 2024 in Bauchi

For the third year in a row, the Assistant Northern Bureau Chief of Nigerian Tribune, Ishola Michael Adeyemi has been adjudged the Best Crime Reporter of the Year 2024. 

The award was presented on Saturday by the Bauchi State Police Command and it was presented during the 2024 Annual Officers Dinner and Award Ceremony held at the Command headquarters. 

The Police Commissioner, Auwal Musa Mohammed, while presenting the certificate, praised the awardee for his hardworking and dedication to professionalism in his reportage. 

The CP said, “The award is in recognition of your exemplary dedication to promoting peace, security and unity through responsible and impactful journalsim.

“Your commitment to informing the public, fostering dialogue and highlighting critical issues has been pivotal in building a safer and more informed society.

“Your work has continue to inspire and empower communities across Bauchi State and beyond. We are appreciative of your contribution.”

The CP urged Ishola not to relent but do more for the good of the people of the state, stressing that responsible Journalism is required to build a peaceful and secure environment. 

He also commended the Nigerian Tribune Newspapers for always according attention to stories from the Bauchi State Police Command, adding that it has gone a long way in ensuring that people get the correct information about the happenings thereby promoting security.
