Ex-National President of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) and Saturday Tribune health columnist, Dr Wale Okediran, has lost his wife, Mrs Adefolake Yetunde Okediran.
Mrs Okediran, 59, passed on in the United Kingdom (UK) on Sunday, December 4.
She was a lecturer in the Department of Law, Faculty of Law, University of Ibadan, before she relocated to the UK some years ago.
Mrs Okediran was, however, never away from Nigeria as she ran a non-governmental organisation, Gendev Consult, which operates in the area of poverty alleviation and empowerment in the Oke Ogun area of Oyo State.
A terse statement from the widower, Dr Okediran, disclosed that she will be buried in the UK tomorrow (Thursday), while service of songs will be held in Lagos and Ibadan.
“She will be buried on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at Eastbrookend Cemetery, Dagenham, Essex, UK.
“A service of songs will also take place at her Ibadan residence: 53 Adenuga Street, New Bodija, Ibadan and at 47a, Pariola Street, Ogudu GRA, Lagos, between 3:00p.m to 4:00p.m on the same day.
“Please come with happy hearts to bid farewell to our dearly beloved, wearing a touch of purple,” the statement read.
