TrapChinor: Rising star from Enugu

Chinonso Aniehe, known by his stage name TrapChinor, is making waves and leaving his mark. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, with roots in Enugu State, TrapChinor’s musical journey is a testament to passion, perseverance, and the pursuit of a unique sound.

At the age of 14, TrapChinor embarked on a musical journey that would eventually lead him to the limelight. It all began with freestyle sessions among secondary school friends, where the young artist would hone his lyrical skills and experiment with beats. In 2013, TrapChinor recorded his first-ever song, marking a significant step forward in his musical odyssey.

However, it wasn’t until June 2023 that he officially released a single as an independent artist. The track, titled “See Shegee,” garnered over a million streams worldwide, establishing TrapChinor as a rising star in the music industry.

As we delve deeper into TrapChinor’s journey, the artist reveals his latest project. On November 17th, 2023, he is set to release a new song titled “Nobody.”

This forthcoming release delves into themes of loneliness, depression, and self-motivation, offering a glimpse into the artist’s introspective and emotive style.

TrapChinor draws inspiration from a deeply personal source—his mother. She was a chorister with a gift for composing music that resonated with sweet melodies. This early exposure to the power of music planted the seeds of his passion.

Reflecting on his journey, TrapChinor shares, “My biggest challenge was financial support. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon, and I didn’t want to rely on labels.

I believed I could make it on my own. I had to put music on hold for years to work and save, so I could pay for production and promotion.”

For TrapChinor, his greatest accomplishment lies in the future. He envisions taking his unique sound on a world tour, allowing people across the globe to experience his music. In a saturated industry, he’s determined to stand out and make a lasting impact.

To aspiring musicians, TrapChinor imparts valuable advice: “Always know what works best for you; keep doing it no matter what the world says, because if you lose yourself, you’ve failed yourself and not the world.”

In every note and lyric, TrapChinor’s personal motto resonates: “You can do it!” With his unwavering determination and distinctive style, he’s carving a path towards success in the Nigerian music scene.
