Published by

Mecca, Saudi Arabia – In a groundbreaking move, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, alongside the Red Crescent and esteemed facility management companies from the Middle East, has recently announced the initiation of an unprecedented Hajj volunteering program recruitment drive in West Africa. This visionary initiative, strategically aligned to support the rising number of pilgrims from the region, is gaining attention for its scale and potential transformative impact on the upcoming Hajj season.

In a press release, Masjid al-Haram Facilitation Director, Mehzoof Al Nayan, underscored the critical importance of recruiting volunteers from West Africa. The Ministry not only acknowledged the potential contributions of individuals from the region but also expressed sincere gratitude for their readiness to collaborate in enhancing the pilgrimage experience.

A key player in the crowd management sector, Benetnash Middle East, a UAE-based company, has taken a proactive role by forging partnerships with numerous NGOs in countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, Gambia and Benin. Additionally, the company has launched an Automated direct online application process for the largest volunteer talent hunt in the region. The ambitious recruitment drive aims to enlist 20,000 volunteers, comprising both general participants and highly skilled paramedics, to provide comprehensive support during the forthcoming Hajj umrah season.

The involvement of Benetnash Middle East marks a significant leap towards ensuring a well-coordinated and efficient Hajj experience. The company’s dedication to crowd and risk management perfectly aligns with the overarching goal of creating a seamless pilgrimage journey for all attendees.

The planned deployment of volunteers, scheduled for the first week of May, strategically coincides with the commencement of the Hajj season. This meticulous timing aims to ensure that volunteers are well-prepared to provide support to pilgrims visiting the sacred site of Mecca.

In a corresponding announcement, Saudi Red Crescent Director, Youef Alsofayan, shed light on the extensive preparations underway for the volunteer training program. Anticipated to be the largest in history, this program will equip selected candidates with the essential skills and knowledge required to ensure the safety and well-being of pilgrims.

Furthermore, addressing recent speculations, Overseas Recruiting Director of Benetnash Middle East, Mr. Omar Ahmed Mohammed, emphatically denied any collaboration with west African islamic entities, leaders, or Hajj pilgrimage-based governmental or private Islamic entities. He asserted the company’s commitment to professionalism and transparency by stating, “We deal directly with applicants and are more confident in forging the Harmain helping hands without involving intermediaries to avoid the spread of misinformation about the contract.”

Excitingly, Mr. Omar Ahmed Mohammed, also shared that the company is in the process of launching a mobile application. This innovative tool aims to streamline the application and selection coordination training process, adhering to professional and global standards. The introduction of the mobile application represents a significant leap towards modernizing and enhancing the efficiency of the volunteer recruitment and training process, providing applicants with a seamless and user-friendly experience
