THE Olubaka of Oka-Akoko (in Ondo State), Oba Yusuf Adebori Adeleye, has called on Muslims to observe Ramadan fast according to the rules so that the act would be acceptable and earn them bountiful rewards from Allah.
Oba Adeleye, in a message, described Ramadan as a period for sober reflection, when all Nigerians should purge themselves of all evils and embrace virtuous, good deeds for the good of all and sundry.
The traditional ruler urged wealthy people to seize the opportunity of the holy month to reap exceptional rewards from Allah by assisting underprivileged members of the society.
He also called on the faithful to use this period of heightened devotion to seek Allah’s intervention in the security and other challenges facing the country.
In the same vein, the National Organising Secretary of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Alhaj Ibrahim Kilani, urged well-to-do Muslims to gain the utmost pleasure of Allah at this period of Ramadan by bringing succour to orphans, widows and persons living with disabilities.
