The Baaale Keesan Orile, in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Waheed Adeyemi Abodunrin, has lauded Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun over his commitment to speedy infrastructural and human capital development.

He also commended the Governor for creating a favourable environment for business to strive, making the State the best in Ease of Doing Business in Nigeria.

Abodunrin, made these known in a media chat with newsmen on Monday while speaking on governance and the role of traditional institution in Nigeria, particularly Ogun State.

The Traditonal Head acknowledged the commitment of the Governor towards changing the old order of neglect and insecurity in the State adding that the firm control of security architecture of Ogun State by the Dapo Abiodun-led administration had substantially reduced incessant activities of cultists and other criminals.

Abodunrin also described the relationship of the Government and traditional institution in the state as exemplary and cordial, which according to him has made community involvement in governance very easy and functional.

“I believe Prince Dapo Abiodun, has proven to be a man with blue blood and a born leader by all standards, he has redefined royalty as a path of nobility and modesty despite the endemic murky politics of Nigeria.

“His style of governance has been exceptional and distinct; for instance, the manner he had revived the hitherto negleted rural roads and that of border communities with Lagos was fantastic and remarkable.

“Governor Dapo Abiodun’s compassion for his people is awesome especially on road networks, which made him to go as far as reconstructing Federal Roads; the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway is a testament and that of Benin Ijebu-Ode road among others.

“For a Governor to have built over 600km of roads in less than six years without owing workers a dime is a miracle in this part of the world.

“Sincerely, we are proud to have a Governor like Prince Dapo Abiodun. Have you guys visited the Gateway International Agro-cargo Airport located along Ilisan-Iperu axis, you will be marvelled at the quality of facilities in that Airport, which has been adjudged to have the longest runway in the entire West Africa sub-region and it remains the best in Nigeria.

“My advice to the Governeor for the new year is to sustain this present feat and his tempo of transformation, the traditional institution and other clusters of the State are behind him and really appreciate his relentless pursuit of greatness for our dear state.
