TRACE boss advises passengers to report restless drivers to appropriate authority

Seni Ogunyemi

Mr. Seni Ogunyemi, the Chief Executive/Corps Commander, Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), has urged passengers in commercial vehicles to report restless drivers to the appropriate authority, in order to help reduce road crashes in the country.

Ogunyemi gave the advice while addressing newsmen as part of activities to mark his birthday on Wednesday in Abeokuta, Ogun.

The TRACE boss, however, implored people to discourage drivers from going beyond the specified speed limits, because speed kills.

“We are concerned about your safety, we are fulfilled only when you get to your destinations safely.’’ he said.

Ogunyemi said that people were as valuable as the value they placed on their lives, adding that life had no duplicate.

He warned people against night travelling, to save lives and property.

Ogunyemi also cautioned drivers to desist from not using seat belts and receiving phone calls while driving.
