The people of Lokoja, the Kogi State capital were again treated to another round of interesting and soul filled music when the 2016 edition of the xmas carol being organised by the treasures group came alive in the confluence town.
The event, which was the season four of the carol and tagged “Hail the King”, featured the award winning gospel singer, Evangelist Tope Alabi, the King Joshua group, the treasure choir among other groups.
The tone for the refreshing evening was set by the King Joshua group that lifted up the spirit of the audience with praise and worship, following which Alabi took the stage and presented some of her old and new collections that made the people in attendance to dance and praise God in celebration of the coming of Jesus Christ.
Carol at treasures is an annual event put together by the treasures since 2013 with the 2016 edition christened “season 4” as it was the fourth edition of the carol that always attracts Christians from various denominations.
Speaking at the event, the organiser, Dr Femi Akande, said the carol @ treasures was a programme he conceived to worship and praise God for His mercies throughout the year. According to him, he got the inspiration to organise the yearly carol while in secondary school in Ilorin, Kwara State, when an individual was organising such event to glorify God.
