Tobi Makinde promises big 2024 in filmmaking

Nigerian actor Tobi Makinde is gearing up for an impressive 2024, pledging to elevate his presence on the silver screen.

Grateful for his fans’ supports, Makinde while speaking with R about his career and what to expect from him in the coming year assuresd them of a forthcoming surge in his acting endeavors.

In Funke Akindele’s latest film, “A Tribe Called Judah,” Makinde takes on the role of Shina Judah, the fourth son of the Judah family.

Known as Shinene Judah, Shina stands out as the family’s black sheep, yet the character unveils a profound familial bond shared among the five sons, accentuating their love for each other and their single mother.

Shina Judah, portrayed as a Yoruba tout deeply entrenched in street activities, surprises audiences with a soft spot for family.

Reflecting on leadership lessons learned from  Akindele, Makinde applauds her hands-on approach.

Stressing the importance of involvement beyond financial oversight, Makinde underscores Akindele’s engagement in various aspects of filmmaking, from scriptwriting to production design.

Humility emerges as another key trait highlighted by Makinde, drawing inspiration from Akindele’s example.

Encouraging aspiring leaders to remain humble and authentic, Makinde points to Akindele’s multi-faceted involvement in her projects as a testament to the power of staying grounded.

Confident in the success of “A Tribe Called Judah,” Makinde shared insights into why he knew the movie will be a blockbuster.

He recalled how he participated in script conferences, and credited film’s script and casting choices as pivotal elements contributing to its potential success.
