TM Outfit strikes Ibadan with fashion tourism

The Ibadan brand of international fashion domination via African fabrics, TM Outfit is set for the median edition of Ibadan Fashion show, with the tagged Ibadan Kini so.

TM Outfit is set to unveil the creativities and potentialities of Ibadan-based fashion in order to enhance the tourism sector of Oyo State, under the leadership of Temilade Ajanaku.

This was disclosed during a press conference held at the outfit’s headquarters in Mokola, Ibadan, according to the convener, the event “ is to lure international fashion bluffs to Ibadan, for them to have a taste of what we frankly refer to as a unique style of the Yoruba people, using Ibadan as a point of reference.

“As Ibadan is known to be the largest Yoruba city, former headquarters of the then Western region and the home of everything first, such as; premier university. These factors constitute parts of the reasons we want to show Ibadan to the world through fashion.

“People are conscious that some places are known with a particular food or pattern of cooking a variety of food, so is fashion. Fashion speaks out loudly the cultural and traditional orientation of the people. In this case, the focus is the Ibadan people and their sense of dressing.”

She revealed “these designs will preach everything about Ibadan; tell the stories of Ibadan wars and show the artistic artifacts peculiar to the people of Ibadan through fashion. We strictly want to establish a unique and distinctive voice for fashion by relying on our cultural and traditional orientations.
