Tiwa Savage
Something seems to be bothering Nigerian Afro-beat music star, Tiwa Savage. This time, it doesn’t seem to be about her music or the man in her life. She seems to be worried that the women folk, which she represents appears not be showing her much love as she deserved.
Savage, one of Nigeria’s most celebrated music stars has had her fair share of the bad side of fame but the singer, 37, has never allowed her challenges to stop her from doing what she knows best.
The award-winning singer, who suffered a marriage break-up some years back may have found her voice again having been away for some time to deal with her private life. There had been questions about Savage’s whereabouts and what has been happening to Mama Jam Jam as she loves to be called.
The mother of one, days back said she was bitter about the lack of respect for women, who are making the country proud in their chosen career. Apparently, she was worried that despite her success stories and achievements in music, a fraction of the women folk are not giving her enough credit for her hard work.
This might have got the better side of her days back, when she took to Twitter to share her thoughts on her why some women are trying to bring her down and lessen her worth at all costs.
Savage, signed to Mavin Records headed by Don Jazzy, said she looked forward to a future with positive lessons where women can inspire one another as opposed to hating.
The All Ova crooner, who will be performing alongside Cardi B, Travis Scott, A$AP Rocky, Migos, Future and Rae Sremmurd in London’s Finsbury Park this July at the Wireless 2019 Festival, in her tweet said many women are trying to undermine her achievements, adding that she would not pray same for them.
“For all the women trying to undermine my achievements I don’t pray the same for you. One day you will realize it should inspire you and not make you hate”
