Tinubu’s administration inflicting pain on Nigerians — LP’s Tanko

Chief spokesperson of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council (LP-PCC) and former National Chairman of National Conscience Party (NCP), Dr Yunusa Tanko has accused the President Bola Tinubu-led administration of inflicting pain on Nigerians following its various policies since assuming office in May.

According to him, Nigerians have been faring badly since Tinubu came onboard adding that this negates true principles of leadership.

He stated this in a recent interview with Nigerian Tribune.

“I don’t think they do. What we have seen them do is to rule the country with so much impunity as they believe they now have the power and can do whatever they like.

“And this is exactly telling of the way they are running the government, which is bringing pain to the people. And this greatly negates the principles of leadership. So it seems to me like they don’t even understand the word ‘Governance’. They feel that as long as you can buy out your way, you can use force to do anything.

“Unfortunately for Nigerians, our judiciary has been bought over. The INEC has also been bought over. The only institution we can see now is the military. Most of these institutions do not know that they are responsible to the people and not the government officeholders,” he opined.
