Tinubu should prioritise agriculture for food production — Ex-Ekiti Commissioner

Former Commissioner for Agriculture in Ekiti State, Dr. Olabode Adetoyi has urged the Federal Government to prioritise agriculture in order to produce more foods for the teeming population.

The Ex-Commissioner, who spoke on Friday morning in celebration of his birthday, said there is hunger in the land because agriculture is at the lowest ebb.

Adetoyi lamented that agribusiness is no more attractive because there is no incentives to go back to farming.

The entrepreneur cited the instance of being driven by passion to remain as a farmer for 28 years, adding that without agriculture industry will not grow.

“My wishes for the country in 2024 is for the government of President Tinubu to prioritise agriculture in order to produce more foods for the teeming population.

“There is hunger in the land because agriculture is at low ebb.

“Agribusiness is no more attractive because there is no incentives to go back to farming.

“Even in my 28 years practise as a farmer it’s out of passion that make us to remain.Without agriculture industry will not grow,” he said.
