Tinubu removes subsidy to revive country’s economy -Senator Ajibola

Published by

The national secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, at the weekend, assured that the present Administration under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would revive the country’s economy and stabilize it’s productive strength to make life well meaningful to the people.

The party national secretary who made the assurance during a reception organised in his honour by the APC caucus in Osogbo federal constituency at Freedom Park, Osogbo, explained that, petroleum subsidy was removed to make the country’s economy more viable and productive, to prevent incessant consumption of imported products.

According to him, “In no distance time, the prices of petroleum products will stabilize and then, Nigerian people would be able to get the benefits accruable from the savings which can now be used to develop the country economy. ”

“The earn gain of subsidy removal is to revive our economy and get us back into a productive economy that will ensure the welfare of the people. Palliative is a temporary measure and we believe that this is a federation, the state governments should be in the position to deliver those palliatives to the people”.

“Don’t be deceived; this party is the main party that is developmental oriented. They are talking about fuel subsidy; the removal is for development; before now, they pay N1 trillion for subsidy. So, within two months, the government has been able to save N2 trillion. We must not allow our economy to be ruined.

” Federal Government palliative is in osun, Tinubu gave them N5 billion, tell them to bring it out. I implore all of us to work assiduously for the progress of the party”

“God will reward everyone. Those that had benefitted from the party and still betray us, we have handed over their matter to God. If you know you are tired of the party leave but don’t stay and still work against it.

“Those that betrayed us are now disappointed over the appointment of caretaker committee for local government areas. “Less than one year, those that worked against the interests of Osogbo, they are ripping the consequences. Those that they put in government, they are treating them like babies and they don’t know what is in government.”

“They are making unnecessary appointments; they are mediocre. Those that do not understand the tenets of Islam are now fighting me at the Eid praying ground, the indigenes of Osogbo built the Eid. He stressed.

In his own remark at the event, southwest APC Chairmen represented by the Ondo state party Chairman, Engineer Ade Adetimehin charged party members to work as a team, saying, if party members work together, the state would be returned back to the progressive fold.
