President Bola Tinubu has condoled with the government and people of Enugu State over the fuel tanker explosion that claimed lives on Saturday.
In a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), it was noted that the fuel tanker reportedly lost control and burst into flames while navigating the Ugwu-Onyeama section of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway.
President Tinubu expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and the injured, praying for the repose of the departed souls and a swift recovery for those receiving medical treatment.

The President urged caution and strict adherence to safety measures among road users, particularly fuel tanker operators.
Additionally, he directed relevant agencies responsible for enforcing traffic regulations to implement measures aimed at preventing recurring fuel tanker explosions nationwide.
