President Bola Tinubu has officially promoted the acting Chief of Army Staff, Olufemi Oluyede, to the rank of Lieutenant General.
The brief decoration ceremony took place on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
A statement from the President’s communications team confirmed the promotion, saying, “President Tinubu decorates acting Chief of Army Staff, Oluyede, as Lt General.”
Tinubu appointed Oluyede as the acting Chief of Army Staff last Wednesday following an extended period of absence by his predecessor, Taoreed Lagbaja, who has been indisposed for several weeks.
