Tinubu condoles with Ondo over SSG’s demise

President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the government and people of Ondo State over the passing of Temitayo Oluwatuyi, the Secretary to the State Government.

In a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), it was noted that Oluwatuyi, fondly known as Tukana, passed away on Saturday following hospitalisation for severe injuries sustained in an accident on December 15, 2024.

The President expressed his sympathies to Oluwatuyi’s family, friends, and political associates.

Oluwatuyi was first appointed as SSG in 2020 by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu. He served with distinction, earning numerous recognitions, and was subsequently reappointed by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

President Tinubu commended Oluwatuyi’s diligence, highlighting his contributions as a former Chairman of Akure South Local Government and Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in strengthening democracy in Ondo State.

The President acknowledged Oluwatuyi’s unwavering dedication to serving the people of Ondo State, noting his critical role in policy coordination and implementation, which significantly advanced the state’s development.

President Tinubu prayed for the repose of Oluwatuyi’s soul and asked the Almighty God to bring comfort and solace to his grieving family.
