Tinubu celebrates Gov Adeleke at 65

Published by

President Bola Tinubu has extended warm birthday greetings to the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, who turned 65 on Tuesday, describing him as a politician of national significance and a symbol of unity.

In a statement released by the State House and signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Tinubu praised Governor Adeleke for his contributions to public service and politics, noting that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain has carved a niche for himself not only in Osun but across the country.

“President Tinubu notes that the Peoples Democratic Party governor has established himself as a politician of significance not only in Osun State but also across the country and beyond,” the statement read.

The President acknowledged Adeleke’s political journey, recalling his entry into the Senate in 2017 following the death of his elder brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, and his eventual election as governor in 2022.

In a show of bipartisan goodwill, Tinubu commended Adeleke’s inclusive governance style and cultural identity, highlighting his Yoruba and Igbo roots as a testament to his pan-Nigerian outlook.

“Commending Governor Adeleke, President Tinubu notes that he has demonstrated a pan-Nigerian approach in his way of life and governance philosophy, exemplified by his Yoruba and Igbo heritage,” the statement added.

The President also offered personal prayers for the Osun State governor, wishing him continued good health, more years of service, and divine blessings as he celebrates this milestone.

Senator Adeleke, fondly called the “Dancing Senator” before his gubernatorial victory, currently holds the traditional title of Asiwaju of Edeland in his hometown of Ede.
