Tinubu appoints APC state chairmen as heads of federal boards

President Bola Tinubu has named several All Progressives Congress (APC) state chairmen as board chairmen of key federal institutions, reinforcing the party’s influence within government agencies.

 

Among the notable appointments, Felix Morka, the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, has been named Board Chairman of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). Additionally, Hon. Fatuhu Mohammed Buhari from Katsina State has been appointed Director-General of the National Agricultural Seed Council.

 

Several APC state chairmen have been appointed to lead federal boards across different sectors, including agriculture, healthcare, and education. Some of the key appointments include: Mallam Muhammad Massan (APC Chairman, Bauchi) – Board Chairman, Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute, Ilorin.

Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas (APC Chairman, Kano) – Board Chairman, Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service.

 

Dr. Austian Agada (APC Chairman, Benue) – Board Chairman, National Agricultural Seed Council.

 

Hon. Macdonald Ebere (APC Chairman, Imo) – Board Chairman, Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Lagos.

 

Ubong Stephen Ntukekpo (APC Chairman, Akwa Ibom) – Board Chairman, National Institute for Freshwater Fish, New Bussa.

 

Chief Emma Eneukwu (APC Deputy Chairman, South) – Board Chairman, National Automotive Development Council.

 

Aminu Musa Bobi (APC Chairman, Niger) – Board Chairman, National Library of Nigeria.

 

Pharm. Abass Olayide (APC Chairman, Oyo) – Board Chairman, Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Kaduna.

 

Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka (APC Chairman, Yobe) – Board Chairman, Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre.

 

Benjamin Omale (APC Chairman, Benue) – Board Chairman, National Orthopedic Hospital, Enugu.

 

Rufus Bature (APC Chairman, Plateau) – Board Chairman, Nigerian Coal Corporation.

 

Alhaji Abubakar Muhammed Kana (APC Chairman, Kebbi) – Board Chairman, Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies.

 

Hon. Donatus Nwankpa (APC National Working Committee Member, Abia) – Board Chairman, Project Development Institute (PRODA).

 

Comrade Mustapha Salihu (APC Chairman, Adamawa) – Board Chairman, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).

 

Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu (APC Chairman, Abia) – Board Chairman, National Parks Headquarters.

 

Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman (APC Chairman, FCT) – Board Chairman, Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria, Ibadan.

 

Hon. Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi (APC Chairman, Taraba) – Board Chairman, Environmental Health Registration Council of Nigeria.

 

Sola Elesin (APC Chairman, Ekiti) – Board Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences.

 

Emperor Jarrett Tenebe (APC Chairman, Edo) – Board Chairman, Federal College of Agriculture, Akure.

 

Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani (APC Chairman, Zamfara) – Board Chairman, Federal Medical Centre, Azare.

 

Hon. Aminu Sani Gumel (APC Chairman, Jigawa) – Board Chairman, Federal College of Produce Inspection and Stored Products Technology, Kano.

 

Barr. Idris Shuaibu (APC Chairman, Adamawa) – Board Chairman, Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan.

 

In addition to the board appointments, President Tinubu also made key changes in the leadership of the River Basin Development Authorities under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.

 

Sowade Oluwakayode Adebayo has been appointed Executive Director of Engineering Services at the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority, replacing Engr. Julius Oloro.

 

Chucks Erhire takes over as Executive Director of Engineering Services at the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority, succeeding Dr. Austin Nonyelim Izagbo.

 

Sunday Kubba Hassan replaces Chief Chris Tarka as Executive Director of Planning at the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority.

 

Engr. Okibe Timothy retains his role as Executive Director of Engineering at the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority.

 

President Tinubu urged all newly appointed officials to uphold the highest standards of integrity and performance, emphasizing their role in improving governance, water management, and rural development across the country.
