Tinubu appoints 72 executives across 12 River Basin authorities

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of the executive management teams for 12 River Basin Development Authorities under the Ministry of Water Resources.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, on Wednesday. The statement, titled ‘President Tinubu Approves Executive Management for River Basin Development Authorities,’ detailed the names and roles of the appointees, who are expected to enhance the efficiency of these critical organizations.

The appointments cover the following River Basin Authorities:

1. Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority, Abeokuta

Chairman: Odebunmi Olusegun (Oyo)
Managing Director: Dr. Adedeji Ashiru (Osun)
Executive Director, Finance: Ayo Oyalowo (Oyo)
Executive Director, Planning and Design: Dokunmu Oyekunle (Ogun)
Executive Director, Agric Services: Suleiman Oris (Lagos)
Executive Director, Engineering: Julius Oloro (Lagos)
2. Upper Benue River Basin Development Authority, Yola
