THE Tin Can Island Customs Command has said that it raked in N30 billion consecutively for the month of August, September and October of 2019.
Speaking with newsmen recently, the Public Relations Officer of the command, Uche Ejesieme, said the command had been able to maintain and achieve the feat due to the commitment of the Customs Area Comptroller, Controller Muhammed Musa, in ensuring that trade facilitation is properly carried out.
“With regard to revenue collection, we have not been doing badly. That is not to say that we have got all the answers to every challenge, but the good thing about the command under Controller MBA Musa is that we have actually been raising our ante in terms of statutory functions and trade facilitation.
“For the month of October, we have been able to generate N30, 580, 819,370.39, and this is a serious increment if we are to compare to what we had last year.”
