The Obudi Agwa Community in Oguta Council Area of Imo State was struck by a deadly thunderstorm last Tuesday.
The incident left three people dead and four others critically injured.
The tragedy occurred during a brief rainfall in the evening of April 8, with local sources confirming the shocking loss of life.
A resident of the area, who requested anonymity, revealed that the thunderstorm’s ferocity caught everyone off guard, as the rain was relatively light.

According to him, it was just a small rain that fell yesterday, and as a result, three people were struck by lightning and died instantly, while four others were seriously injured.
The resident, who confirmed the incident, said that the community had never witnessed anything like this before.
Meanwhile, the incident has caused widespread panic in the community, with residents questioning why such a catastrophic event occurred under seemingly normal weather conditions.
Many are grappling with the unexpected nature of the tragedy, as the rainfall had been far from heavy or severe.
