Three suicide bombers prevented from killing more people in Bama

THREE suicide bombers have been prevented from penetrating Bama town to murder the people who have just returned to their residences.

The three who attempted to infiltrate Bama town through Ajilari area were sighted and challenged by security operatives on guard at the location yesterday evening and they quickly blew themselves to avoid being apprehended.

Police spokesman Edet Okon said that the “bombers hurriedly detonated the IEDs strapped to their bodies killing themselves only.”

As at the time of writing this report, the area has been rendered safe by the police mobile force PMF and Explosive Ordinance Department EOD personnel of the Nigeria Police Force.

“The Commissioner of Police Borno State, CP Damian Chukwu thereby urges residents to go about their lawful activities without fear as the police will continue to do their best to protect lives and properties.” The release signed by Dsp Okon noted.
