A collapsed building
A three-storey building has collapsed at Iju area of Lagos state, leaving many people trapped but rescued by the immediate intervention of the relevant emergency bodies.
This unfortunate incident happened on Wednesday night.
Speaking on the issue, The General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu confirmed the occurrence of the event, assuring that the situation would be properly managed without further distress.

“This is just to inform you that a three-story building collapsed at K Farm, Fagba, Off Iju Road.
“It was a building under construction, and people occupying the building have been evacuated and the injured are responding to treatment.”
“No mortalities recorded. All the key stakeholders that are important in managing the disaster in Lagos are on ground.
Meanwhile, The GM assured the pulling down of the building in order to guarantee the safety of lives and property in the vicinity.
“However, the building will be pulled to ground zero for the safety of the people living in the area.
“All the buildings adjacent or beside the collapsed building will be subjected to solid material testing, for your information.”
