OPERATIVES of the Ogun State police command have arrested three men in connection with the killing of a 27-year-old man, Azeez Salami, at Powerline Bus stop at Agbado area of the state.
According to a statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the suspects were arrested following a complaint by one Monsuru Salami, the father of the deceased, at the Agbado police division.
Oyeyemi said the father claimed his son had an altercation with the three suspects, Lanre Toriola (42). Mustapha Kazeem (17) and Ajani Babatunde (21), as well as one other person who is now at large.

“The father said during the altercation, Toriola stabbed his son on the right side of his chest and as a result, he died while being rushed to the hospital.
“Following the report, the DPO at Agbado, CSP Aloko Amodu, quickly mobilised his men and moved to the scene, where the suspects were arrested, while the fourth accomplice, simply known as Sodiq a.k.a. Sadek escaped.
“Recovered from the suspects are a sharp knife and seven wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.
“The body of the deceased has been deposited at Ifo General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.”
The PPRO said the state Commissioner of Police, Kenneth Ebrimson, had ordered that the suspects be transferred to the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for further investigation and prosecution.
