Following the threat of the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike to instigate crises in states governed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) if their governors interfere in Rivers State, the national leadership of the party has affirmed that the state chief executives will respond.
The National Publicity Secretary of the main opposition party, Debo Ologunagba, disclosed this at a press briefing in Abuja on Monday, warning that nobody is above the party.
Recall that the the minister had accused the PDP governors of allegedly trying to hand over the party structure to Governor Siminalayi Fubara warning that if they interfere in the affairs of the party in Rivers, he has the capacity to cause crises in their states.

The party spokesman said the PDP Governors Forum (PDP GF) remains one of the most potent organs of the party and would response to the minister’s threat.
According to him, the PDP has implicit confidence in the ability of the forum to continue to stabilize the party as well as being the reference point of development in ghettos country.
The party spokesman affirmed that its disciplinary committee can summon rhetorical minister if its finds it necessary.
But he said he could not confirm if the summon had already been extended to Wike since he (spokesman) is not a member of the committee.
