There is more to me than filmmaking —Idowu Akinsade

Renowned actor and movie producer, Idowu Akinsade, who unveiled her latest cinematic creation, “Omo Sekinat,” directed by the Okiki Afolayan has urged her fans to expect more from her.

As the movie continues to enjoy positive reviews, she noted that the movie which featured Mide Martins, Lateef Adedimeji, Remi Surutu, Itele, among others delved into themes of betrayal, wickedness, forgiveness, payback, and the timeless concept of what goes around comes around.

According to her, since its release, “OMO SEKINAT” has been captivating audiences on YorubaPlusTV’s YouTube channel, garnering attention for its compelling narrative and stellar performances.

Akinsade disclosed that her filmmaking journey extends beyond this project, with productions including “Last Laugh” in 2020 and “Revenge” in 2021.

Speaking further, she noted that her multifaceted career doesn’t stop at the film industry as she manages ID’s Kitchen & Catering Services in Maryland, USA.

When asked about the growing influence of women in Nollywood, Akinsade is effusive in her praise, asserting that women are already taking over and achieving tremendous success in the industry.

She expressed pride in their accomplishments and believes in their significant contributions to the world of cinema.

Looking ahead to 2024, Akinsade hinted at exciting developments, stating that something is cooking, and they are actively working on new projects.
