There is more mass burial in Nigeria than celebration ― Benue CAN

The chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Benue State, Rev Akpera Leva, on Sunday, led Christians in the state to match round the premises of NKST, Iordieye in Makurdi to protest incessant killings of Christians in the country.

The state CAN chairman who spoke to the mammoth crowd said Christians have lost faith in Nigeria because there is more mass burial in the country than celebration.

“No place is safe in Nigeria, there are records of killings every day in all parts of the country, killings in Benue, Adamawa, Jos and other places.

“We are tired of killings, the manner the CAN president in Adamawa was killed is barbaric, nobody is free in the country we can no longer sleep with our two eyes closed.

“Nigeria has more IDPs as a country than other nations, it is very unfortunate that this is happening in Nigeria.

The state CAN leader who regretted that some Nigerians love cows than human life called for the sanctity of life.

Earlier, the Vice Chairman of CAN, Bishop Mike Angou in his sermon titled, “Be a prepared Christian” charged Christians to prepare for prayer stating that with prayer enemies of Christian will be crushed.

All the six blocks that makeup CAN led the prayer points.
