The wrong and right posture for money

Published by

There is an ongoing mad-rush for money, especially in Nigeria. The mad-rush for money impacts negatively on every fiber of our national life, including religion. Virtually everyone is all out to exploit and take advantage of others—provided they are naive. And many are so naïve in Nigeria! In every generation (nation) where ignorance thrives, many people will be defrauded of their hard earned money. And many are being daily robbed in Nigeria, because those who are naïve want to either make money or make more money, but do not know how to get it done. As an effect of this, the greedy ones are exploring the Achilles’ heel of those who are naive.

People may not voice it out, but this is the stark-naked truth. It is the same madness that is pushing too far many youths to joining occultism. They want to make money, but they do not know the right posture for money. The truth is; if your goal in life is to make money, it’s almost certain that you never will. This is one of the major reasons why many folks are repelling money in our clime. Even in the Church, the reason many folks give is because they want to attract more money, not because they love the Lord, hence the reason it is not working for many folks. Remember, it is not only about what you give, it is also about why you are giving. Motive is everything!

To achieve the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, you have to concentrate on the rainbow, not on the gold. Only those who do not have money think they can get it by going directly for it. Those who have it know that money is a by-product of success. It is not success itself. For the umpteenth time, money is not success itself; it is just a by-product of success.

I have met with too far many poor people—who only think they can get rich by going directly after money. They do not know that money is a by-product of either excellence-driven products or services. Remove both products and services from it; then forget about making enduring money. To make money, you have to keep thinking on how you are going to serve others, not money.

Only fraudsters (religious and corporate fraudsters) think about making money without birthing excellence-driven products and services. To truly make money, you’d need to consistently think, plan and work hard on how you are going to help others to make more money. To truly make money, you’d have to consistently work-hard towards making life more conformable for other people. Also, to truly make money, you’d have to consistently and creatively work-hard to help others to maximize their time and help them to become more productive.

To make money from high-paying corporate organizations, you would need to help them make more money. If you can come up with solutions to their problems, you would make money from them! Over the years, I have made so much money from serving men and women of influence and high-paying companies. The goal is not to make money; the goal is to help them to make more money. And the more I help them make more money, the higher the level of money that flows toward me.

Over the years, in the City of Lagos, I have been gathering emerging generation of Nigerians on the right posture for money and the result has been so wow. If the entire populace of our youths can get to understand what I am sharing with you today, the empty rat-race for money would come to an abrupt end. I hope you do understand what I am sharing today. I hope so.

In the last 30years, I have witnessed the rise and fall of many people. Those who did not die while vainly running after money—ended up in jail. They wanted to be rich without solving any problems. They wanted to be rich without helping anyone to make money or make more money. They wanted to make money without making life comfortable for others. They wanted to make money without helping others to become more productive. I can give you too far many names—of those who—fall into this category. I hope you too will not end up like them.

Also, over the years, I have met with those whom wanted to start life and business from the top and anyone who attempts to start from the top will surely end-up at the bottom of life and business. This is why it is said that the ideal entry-level position in business is at the bottom. And on the condition that you learn a business from the bottom-up, you would always be much more comfortable and competent when you reach the top. You’d know your business better and, as important, you’d know your people better.

Someone asked me a question recently and how to build a great business. While asking, it was very clear as water to me that he was in a hurry to “happen.” When I saw that, I told him, “It takes a long time to build an enduring business. Be patient. If you are in a pointless haste to build, you’d shoot yourself in the leg…” Great businesses are built from the bottom-up, not from the top to the bottom.

It has taken me more than two decades doing what I am doing. I have never been in an unnecessary haste and I am not in an unhealthy competition with either anyone or organization. This has helped me to know my onions within the context of my business. Also, it has helped me to intimately know those I am in business for. And the longer you stay in the trenches of your business, the more valuable and effective you become. And when this happens, enduring and high-finances flows towards you!

Till I come your way again next week time, see you where successful and great leaders are found.
