The things that excite us about Christmas

Many things speak about Christmas,  the cool environment, change in weather and the unfriendly harmattan. It is a great time of celebration as we remember the birth of Jesus Christ.

During Christmas period, people decorate their houses, cook different kinds of food and also put on beautiful clothes and shoes.

I really love Christmas period because it is a time to remember and a time to meet with friends and family.

There are many things that excite me about Christmas. They are: gifts from Father Christmas, school party organised for the purpose of celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. We were entertained with food and drink. I  received toys and story book from Father Christmas this year.

Christmas is all about the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ which is celebrated once in a year, on the 25th of December.

I feel excited hearing the word Christmas.

Other things that excite me about Christmas are: going out with my family in celebration of the birth of Jesus; the chance to light candles on Christmas eve; eating cookies; decorating the house for the celebration; shopping and presentation of gifts to loved ones. These things really excite me about Christmas. I feel like a kid because of all the excitement.

Christmas just like every other festive period is a time whereby every one celebrates and enjoy themselves. It comes once in a year for the remembrance of the birth of Jesus Christ.

Nothing excites more about Christmas than the merriment and colourful pictures of the environment; the giving of gifts,  songs, decoration of the house, going out to different fun places like malls, eatries, etc

I like it because it is the most interesting festive period.

Firstly, Christmas is a season when we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Why wont I be happy ? When God sent His only begotten son to come die for us and save us from our sins.

Also, the harmattan that comes with the season of Christmas is interesting and makes me feel cool.

Another thing that excites me is the fact that dad and mum takes us all out for shopping. This season, no matter how little. These are decorations everywhere you go- shops, offices, malls etc.

Lastly, Christmas is a period to expect gifts from family members and friends. Then there will be carol songs in churches and schools during this period.

Jingle bells!! Snowfall,  decorations, carols and hymns, all brings excitement in the air and also tell that it is Christmas.

People give and receive gifts,  celebrate with food and drinks, families come together, people give out to the needy, etc Above all of these, what excites me most about Christmas is giving to the needy because when I give to the needy the smile on their faces warms my heart. Imagine showing up at a widow’s house with a token amount of money with some food stuffs. Imagine how happy  the widow and her kids would be.

In short, giving to the needy excites me most during Christmas.
