The law, duties and politics

Every system and organization including countries of the world have basic things that determine the effective operations or otherwise. The law or set of rules that specify the duties of those who occupy the positions, the specifications or description in clear terms the duties of individual office holders, and the politics involved in daily activities and probably interrupt and sway office holders from the set goals.

In management science, politics may involve the application of principles to manage material and human resources to achieve the goals which in turn depend on leadership style of the manager. Leadership that manages human relationships to the neglect of the task may suffer set back. Management of human relationship and duties must go the someway for the management objectives to be achieved –that is the politics in management science.

In politics, the goal is governance which means managing the public resources for the common good of the masses which is security and welfare of the people. It involves selfless service, sacrifice and consciousness of the political will to please the masses.

The  law for social groups and a country is called ‘construction’ By definition, it is set of rules by which people in public office do their work or perform their duties , public service operates on public service rules and regulations and so the private organizations.

The constitution, the book of law spells out duties for the three arms of government, the three tiers of government and other political institutions which must be complied with by all public office holders. The constitution gives direction and action context.

Duties are the lines of action that must be performed, where and when and how. It is a responsibility note which has a purpose and goal. Public office holders, duties are directed towards the common good of the society, devoid of politics of self or power struggle. In another context, it is act of governance.

Politics is found in every relationship that is why it is ubiquitous. Common meaning of politics involved getting and using power in public life being able to influence decisions that affect a country or a society; also within a group or organizations. Public office is assumed through politics, either by appointment or electron. Governors of states are elected; National and state Assembly of political parties. They hold allegiance by their oath of office to upload the provisions of the constitution of the country.

They swore to defend the constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria in the process of performing their duties. By this sworn allegiance, they entered into another domain-which is governance.
