The emergence of ACEBEAM

Nigeria is characterized by a diverse landscape and extensive river systems, providing opportunities for outdoor activities. Flashlights are essential tools for such experiences, especially for nighttime or low-light situations.

Data from Volza’s Nigeria Import indicates that the country’s lighting imports are expected to reach $17 million by 2026. During a recent period, Nigeria imported 57 torchlight shipments from 17 suppliers, facilitated by 24 importers. ACEBEAM, a flashlight manufacturing company, is among the potential suppliers to the Nigerian market. Michael Song, founder of ACEBEAM, says the company has focused on design and innovation to gain a competitive edge in this market.

Flashlights are valued by consumers for their compact size and convenience. Michael Song recalls the detailed development process for ACEBEAM products, stating that the creation of unique features required multiple drafts and models over several months.

Founded by Michael Song, a graduate of Beihang University, ACEBEAM was ignited by the spark of an idea during a camping trip, where he recognized the need for reliable illumination. One of ACEBEAM’s notable early products was the W30 white laser flashlight in 2018, with a long-range beam up to 2,400m, light intensity of 1,450,000 candles, it can function at 30 meters underwater and emitting 30,000 levels of brightness.

In terms of research and development within the outdoor lighting sector, compactness, luminous efficiency, and safety are key areas of focus. ACEBEAM designed the H50 headlamp for professional caving teams and outdoor searchers. This headlamp was used by the China Expedition Team whey they explored the Yulong Cave in Fengdou, Chongqin China, which was released by Geography·China Program on China Central TV – Channel 10 in 2022.

ACEBEAM’s products are available on e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, ShareAsale, Ubuy, Jumia, and Desertcart Nigeria.  ACEBAM has been introduced in multiple countries and regions, including the US, South America, and Europe. Based on these factors, ACEBEAM is considering entry into the Nigerian market.
