Tech1M, an AI-enabled platform for pre-qualifying, hiring, and paying talents in the tech space globally, sponsored the highly anticipated, event-themed “Product Dive”.
The event, which is geared towards identifying, training, and hiring product managers in the tech industry, was held at the Zone Tech Park, Gbagada, Lagos, Nigeria, on Saturday, August 12, 2023.
According to Femi Ojo, a Tech Lead at Tech1M, Tech1M uses an Artificial intelligence (AI) named Ammie to allow businesses to find, carefully select, and hire talents in tech who meet global standards requirements for tech companies and even other sectors around the world.
Based on the event, which is geared towards the development of leadership skills in product managers, he said that Product managers are involved in the business process of planning, developing, launching, and managing a product or service from the point where the said product is conceived till it gets to the market; hence, product managers are the live-wire of any project, hence the need to have a seamless process of hiring Product Managers in the tech space, one which the Tech1M platform and AI Ammie very well cater for.
He went on to tell us that the platform created by Tech1M has gone a long way in reducing the high rates of unemployment in the country.
Another Tech Lead also from Tech1M, Mr Ayodeji Oladipupo, assured talents seeking employment and hiring opportunities on the Tech1M Platform that before talents are hired, contractual agreements are signed by both parties, which is to ensure that talents are not taken advantage of or used.
He said outsourcing has helped many countries around the world hire talent that, under normal hiring conditions, would have no way of connecting with these companies, which is why platforms such as Tech1M are unique in the industry.
Mr Oladipupo talked about the role and importance of AI in pre-selection and hiring product managers, and he said the importance of AI cannot be overemphasised as it makes the job of hiring talents seamless, easy, and faster with better results than when AI isn’t involved.
When asked if AI like Ammie is not depriving people of their jobs, he said AI complements humans and is meant to make humans more efficient, not take their place or make them redundant; he said with more innovations, humans will also become more adaptable in the tech space.
Tech1M CEO Mrs Tommie Edwards has always been at the forefront of the selection, training, and hiring of Tech talent within the tech space globally.
