Tclassic is classic

Published by

One of Nigeria’s fast-rising music acts and afro pop singer, Tclassic, has been making the headlines in the last one year. The attention has become so much that the singer, who is in his 20s described the feeling as inexplicable in a recent interview with R.

While some are falling in love with his style of music, others simply attribute Tclassic’s fast rise in the music industry to his voice and rendition, one that puts him ahead of most of his peers and apart from the crowd.

Call him a classic singer, one may only be stating the obvious as his name already classic.

Tclassic breezed into the music industry at a time when music enthusiasts, especially the younger generation were yearning for something fresh and different from the norm.

And, from the moment he announced himself on the music scene with his official single, Isabella, not many people doubted his ability.

Speaking on how he felt being rated as one of the revelations of the year, the budding artiste said making good music had always been his mainstay. “Good music is my life. It has always been one thing that gives me hope for the future. That’s why I am committing everything I have to it.”

Signed to MixNaija Entertainment, the music label prides itself as not just a platform that encourages young acts but one that nurtures them into the greatness.

With less than five years in the game, MixNaija has become one of the fast-expanding music labels that seeks to put out nothing but lovely sounds to the delight of their teeming followers.

Understanding how quick fame could turn the heads of young acts, Tclassic said he had never seen himself as the best in anything but one whose dream was to keep creating beautiful and timeless songs that would live after him.

Following the success of his first official single, Isabella, under Mix Naija Entertainment, produced by one of Nigeria’s finest music producers, Killertunes, Tclassic never stopped working.

With his fan base growing from a paltry 3000 on social media platforms to over 100,000 in less than five months, the soft-spoken singer and his team did not go to sleep over the success of Isabella.

Soon, works began on his next project, Fall in Love, which featured  Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) star artiste, Mayorkun, and more people looked forward to the magic with fantasy.

Exactly two months ago, the song was released, and has become an anthem of sort on the lips of many even as it retains its number one spot on many music charts.

Fall in Love is the second official single from Tclassic in less than two years and one could rightly say the journey to greatness may have just begun for the young artiste.

With more accolades, positive comments and downloads trailing the song, Tclassic says he’s indeed classic.
