American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has announced that a book containing previously unseen images from her iconic Eras Tour, behind-the-scenes photos, and reflections will become available to the media on November 29.
The 34-year-old songwriter joined the October 15, 2024, episode of Good Morning America to unveil some thrilling news. She announced that her new album, The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, will be released on vinyl and CD for the first time and made exclusively available at the US department store Target.
In an Instagram statement, Award-winning Swift said, “We’ll be kicking off the final leg of The Eras Tour this week, which is hard to comprehend.
“This tour has been the most wondrous experience and I knew I wanted to commemorate the memories we made together in a special way. Well, two ways actually.”
The 239-page book will be available for $39.99 (£30.57) and showcases over 500 images, including previously unseen photos from each “era” segment of Swift’s current tour.
The singer describes it as “the official retrospective” of her concert series, which she describes as “the most wondrous tour of my life.” It also includes images of instruments, set pieces, designer sketches, and costumes used during the tour.
“Here is the official retrospective of the most wondrous tour of my life, my beloved Eras Tour. Thank you to the fans who came to this show. You were what made The Eras Tour what it became”, she said in an additional statement.
Swift has released various “versions” of TTPD, which debuted on April 19, including limited edition vinyls that feature different artwork and bonus tracks.
The new Anthology version, which will retail for $59.99 (£45.87) on “Black Friday,” has 35 songs, including four acoustic additional tracks, and a brand-new “never-before-seen” Swift poster. Beginning on November 29, Target will also carry the vinyl.
Swift stunned fans by inviting Florence and the Machine and her longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff to her eighth and final performance of the UK and European leg of her Eras tour in August.
Tuesday, August 20’s performance at London’s Wembley Stadium was noteworthy since it was Swift’s first live performance of “Florida,” her duet with Welch from The Tortured Poets Department.
She also delivered an acoustic duet of “Death by a Thousand Cuts,” released in 2019, and “Getaway Car,” from 2017, both co-written and produced with Antonoff.
Last month, she ignited backlash from Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump by endorsing Democratic nominee Kamala Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz. In a detailed Instagram post, she expressed that after watching the presidential debate, she feels Harris “fights for the rights and causes I believe in.”
Donald Trump retaliated by posting from his Truth Social account, declaring, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” in all caps.
