Taraba: Gov Kefas seeks collective vision for state’s global development

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, stated on Tuesday that the combined efforts of civil servants and political leaders would establish a unified vision for advancing Taraba’s global development.

Kefas stated this while declaring open, a two day retreat organized by the state government for civil servants and political office holders in Jalingo.

The governor while urging participants to be focused and produce the desire result after the retreat, noted that his administration was desirous to globalize Taraba.

According to Kefas, building a collective vision between civil servants and political officeholders would present ideas that would drive the state in the global landscape of development.

“The essence of this retreat is for you to share ideas and to build a collective vision on how Taraba state would be drive in the global landscape.

“We are moving forward with many fronts in a globalizing world so, there are issues, there are certain things we need to address. The way for globalization was said is important for us and it will help us to be able to work out our strategy and to reflect on our roles as public servants and political officeholders so that I will be able to shape the future of our state.

“We live in an era marked by rapid changes where globalization continue to redefine economic boundaries, and the expectations of governance in such a dynamic environment is imperative for us as leaders and custodians of public Trust. We need to equip ourselves with the knowledge skills and vision, necessary to navigate these challenges and seize the opportunities that come with them.

“This retreat is a moment for us to think, look back to things we have done and see how we can move forward in a positive direction so that Taraba state will continue to be place where everybody will want to to belong.

“I encourage you to engage fully in the discussions. We need to work together, we need to work in harmony to make governance easy, and give the people what they deserve. This is an opportunity to think critically about our current strategies”. The encouraged

The governor however lamented an era where civil servants were placed far from developmental initiatives and decision for good governance that would have since, place Taraba on the global landscape of development.

“Let us approach this retreat with open mind and commitment as progress will be achieved here. I encourage you to remain focused on the principles of integrity, accountability and service. Let us not create problem in the system.”
