There was pandemonium on Monday afternoon in Oshodi area of Lagos State as a tanker fully loaded with diesel exploded.
The incident created serious traffic gridlock along the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway as fire fighters battled to put out the fire.
As at the time of filing this report operatives of the Lagos State Fire Service, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and other emergency workers were still battling to completely put out the fire.
It was gathered that the truck was on a top speed towards Charity bus stop, when it lost control and crashed into a BMW car.
The truck with the Registration No TUT 258 XA crashed into the BMW car with the Registration NO LSD 462 CZ and spilled its content on the road.
The truck with the inscription BOVAS Petroleum spilled its entire content on the road forcing fire fighters and LASEMA officials into duty to blanket the spilled content.
The spilled content exploded as emergency workers were still battling to neutralize its spread across the road.
The tanker was consumed in the fire which was still on as at the time of filing this report.
