A new voluntary group has emerged to campaign for all the candidates of People’s Democratic Party in Sokoto State.

Alhaji Yusuf Dingyadi, the Protem Chairman of Sokoto State Door-to-Door Mobilisation Vanguard (H2H) on Thursday says the group has begun the door-to-door Mobilisation campaign for the re-election of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state, and other candidates of the party in the state.

Dingyadi stated this in Bodinga during the presentation of Jerseys, Caps and other political campaign materials donated to some selected groups of youths in the area by the H2H.

According to him, the exercise of donating campaign materials to the teeming party supporters is an indication of commencement of the House-to-House campaign for the PDP in the state and it will cover all the local government areas.

Dingyadi said the House-to-House reaches more communities through sanitisation and enlightenment of developmental projects executed by the administration of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, especially on education, agriculture, health, security and other social service means for the well being of our people of the state.

He said the campaign as initiated by the group to inform and guide teeming supporters about the need to ensure the protection of their votes during and after election is targeted at grassroots, whereby the group will meet eligible voters in their own houses to seek their votes.

According to Dingyadi, “over 6000 volunteers across the state are expected to participate in the four weeks of mobilisation and public enlightenment exercise meant to attract support for the party, particularly on the governor Tambuwal across the 23 local government areas of the state.

* We are targeting 500, 000 votes across the state through daily house-to-house campaign and mobilisation of eligible voters in the 23 local government areas of the state.

“It is a well-planned effort of mobilising the good people of the state toward attracting more votes for the PDP Presidential candidate, governor and his Deputy, as well as other PDP candidates in all elective positions in the state.

“our project is entirely voluntary, but we will involve party leadership from the ward, local government and other stakeholders in order to ensure that governor Tambuwal secures bulk votes than any other candidate in the state,” Dingyadi said.

Dingyadi further revealed that they are targeting bulk votes in the rural areas by engaging volunteers who agreed to work day and night for the success of PDP candidates in order to ensure qualitative leadership under the MUTAWALLE SAK re-election project initiated by the group.

He advised party leaders in the state to support and participate actively on this mobilisation of informing people about the vision and mission of providing good governance to the state under the administration of governor Tambuwal for the success of the party and its candidate at all levels.
